 Barbara Derry is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. Her diverse background and broad skills have enabled her to effectively lead major company initiatives and serve in various executive positions including as interim CEO, COO, Executive Directive, Administrator and Corporate Compliance Officer. She brings passion and high energy to her clients, continuously demonstrating that she can improve profitability as well as increase patient, staff and physician satisfaction.
Ms. Derry is highly regarded in the industry for a unique ability to guide medical practices through significant change management while inspiring the team to be the best they can be. She provides a global perspective on overall business strategies while understanding the details of operational and process improvements. Ms. Derry has proven herself an effective coach with physician leaders and senior management during major improvement initiates such as reorganization of leadership or governance.
Prior to her consulting work, Ms. Derry held executive positions with Virginia Mason Medical Center, Moss Adams Advisory Group and Premera Insurance Company. Her experience as a nurse has also provided unique insight in developing improvement strategies for a wide range of clients.
