Crystal Nolan is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives with more than 40 years of experience in healthcare. Ms. Nolan recently has served as Acting CEO for Mary Bridge Children's Health Alliance and Cardiac Health Specialists as well as interim Administrative Director for Good Samaritan Community Healthcare, Division of Clinics. As AD she was responsible for daily operations for nine clinics, and provided senior leaders of Good Samaritan Hospital and its affiliate, MultiCare Health System, with recommendations for improving the clinic revenue cycle and workflow processes, reducing expenses and developing marketing strategies. While filling each of these executive positions, Ms. Nolan helped her clients significantly improve revenues and decrease costs.
Ms. Nolan is an expert in all aspects of medical practice management for practices small and large, including assessing operations, staffing, financial and service line analysis, and designing marketing plans for increased profitability. Her expertise is sought for setting up new practices and clinic acquisition analysis, for either physicians or hospital administrators considering the purchase of a private practice.
Prior to her work at Derry Nolan & Associates, Ms. Nolan successfully redesigned teams and workflow processes for many Pacific Northwest healthcare organizations including Virginia Mason, Franciscan Health System, MultiCare Health System, Olympic Medical Center and Good Samaritan Community Health.
Ms. Nolan speaks on topics such as the importance of risk assessment, particularly as it pertains to managed care contracting, business ethics, customer service initiatives, financial indicators/benchmarks and improving workflow processes for greater efficiency for cost containment. She has authored several articles for The Bulletin of the King County Medical Society and Washington Healthcare News on topics such as embezzlement, Electronic Medical Records and high tech in rural health.
